📚 HOW IT WORKS

How is the net salary calculated in Argentina?

The net salary is what actually goes into your bank account after mandatory deductions and Income Tax if applicable.

Mandatory deductions (17% of gross)

  • Retirement (SIPA) — 11% goes to the Integrated Argentine Retirement System.
  • Health Insurance — 3% for your medical coverage.
  • PAMI (INSSJyP) — 3% goes to the National Institute of Social Services for Retirees.

Income Tax 2026 (Fourth Category)

Applied if monthly income exceeds the Minimum Threshold. Progressive scale: the more you earn, the higher the percentage.

🎁 LEGAL EXTRAS

SAC Bonus and Vacations

How is the SAC calculated?

The Complementary Annual Salary (SAC), or bonus, is 50% of the best salary of the semester. Paid in two installments:

  • 1st installment — before June 30 (first semester).
  • 2nd installment — before December 18 (second semester).

How many vacation days?

According to Labor Contract Law (Art. 150), vacation days depend on seniority:

  • Up to 5 years — 14 calendar days
  • 5 to 10 years — 21 calendar days
  • 10 to 20 years — 28 calendar days
  • Over 20 years — 35 calendar days

Daily vacation value = gross salary divided by 25 (not 30, this is a legal benefit for the worker).
